11-12 Adventure 14!

The lines and shape of the blinds push against the rest of the picture. The awkward shape of the paper creates an interest and contrasts from the sharp lines. The light shines from beneath the objects which creates an interesting texture and cantrast in the paint.

The texture and shine is what caught my eye in this photo. The composition leads the eye around and around with the triangle shape at the bottom leading to the intense shine and then to the seam and back around again. That is possibly the greatest thing I have learned this summer. No matter if it is a painting, drawing or photo the artist must be the director of the eye.
