11-12 Adventure 6!

Joe Bob's Notes Phase 2!

Compositions.

-The use of Simplicity can be very helpful. Too much can strain the eyes and simplicity makes the point clear and emphasised.

-Closure: The eye automatically completes shapes when there is most of it in place. A circle for example can still read a circle without even being connected.

-Recognizable: Sometimes you have to avoid unintentional symbols or it could turn the focus.

-Attraction/Contrast

-Size: "Noticing a spider on the wall" Sometimes if something is too big it will read as a background.

-Placement: The eye tends too focus on the middle and top left corner. (at least at first)

-Do not only put things in the middle. You want the viewer to be directed throughout the entire composition.

-Concauity/Convexity: Concauity means "out" and convexity means "cave". You can use this to make something feel advancing or receding.
